Point of Light packaging, macro detail of the perforated cardboard showing the physical depth and thickness of the holes

Point of Light is a chocolate packaging series based on the idea of chocolate as a small point of light in the day. Rather than using typography, the identity is created through material, light and touch. The cardboard is physically perforated, revealing the gold wrapping underneath and turning the surface into points of light. Three patterns represent 70%, 80% and 90% cocoa, with changes in radius, density and distribution giving each level of bitterness a different expression of light.
